Newman Center Pasadena

California Institute of Technology

A message from Newman Center Pasadena

Praised be Jesus Christ! The Newman Center is a vibrant Catholic home-away-from-home for college students and young adults in their 20s and 30s. Our mission is to walk alongside you and offer a place to receive the sacraments, deepen your understanding of the Catholic faith, and build friendships through service and social life.

Our community is built upon four pillars: Prayer, Small Groups, Spiritual Direction, and Outreach. Whether you arrive with many questions or simply to find a place to be, our goal is to help you, as a beloved Child of God, flourish in your faith and build a strong foundation for a Christ-centered life.

What do we offer?

We invite you to join us for any of our regular gatherings:

  • Sunday Candlelight Mass: Every Sunday at 7 PM, accompanied by the young adult choir and the organ. Followed by an evening of fellowship.
  • Newman Nights: A monthly gathering consisting of a guest lecturer, Mass, and dinner.
  • First Friday Adoration: A quiet time for prayer before the Blessed Sacrament.
  • Young Adult Socials: Events specifically tailored for those in their 20s and 30s.
  • Campus Outreach: Special events hosted for students at Pasadena City College, Caltech, Fuller Seminary, and beyond.
  • Spiritual Direction: Our pastor and chaplains are available for personal spiritual guidance and formation.
