A message from Catholic Gators

Catholic Gators Campus Ministry began in 1923, during a time of intense anti catholic sentiment in the south. Fr. Conoley and one benefactor built a small meeting space, a Chapel for 50 and the ministry involved about 30 students. St. Augustine Church was built 35 years later and the parish was erected as a personal parish to serve the College Students of the University of Florida. Since then the Parish and Ministries have grown into a thriving faith community serving students, faculty, staff, and families of the Gainesville community, the University of Florida, and Santa Fe College. We hope to serve you!
