A message from St Catherine Catholic Newman Center

Our mission is to serve university students within the Des Moines area. Serving as a place of worship, prayer, fellowship, and service, St. Catherine’s is a “spiritual home away from home” for Drake University and Des Moines area college students. All Drake students are welcome, regardless of faith or background. Whether you need a break from school, a place to pray, or a table to study at, St. Catherine’s is a home for you.  

Join us and our organization at Drake, DU Bulldog Catholic for more opportunities for fellowship, service, and prayer. We have regularly scheduled events such as Student Mass at 5 pm on Sundays, with a free student supper afterwards, adoration on Tuesday nights at 7 pm, Candlelight Mass with games after on Thursdays at 9:15 pm, and many other events throughout the school year. Through our student ministries of service, faith formation, liturgy, community, and leadership, there are limitless opportunities to get involved at St. Catherine’s, and our surrounding communities.
