St. John Paul II Catholic Newman Center

Illinois State University

A message from St. John Paul II Catholic Newman Center

Welcome to the St. John Paul II Catholic Newman Center!

We are located across the street from Illinois State University and we serve the students of ISU, Heartland Community College and Illinois Wesleyan University!

We strive to offer students a space to feel welcome, deepen their faith and form genuine friendships! Our weekly events include Wednesday night praise & worship music (Source & Summit), Thursday night formation opportunities (Duc in Altum), and social events. We also offer opportunities for mass, confession, and adoration during the week and have two mass times on Sundays (10:30am & 5pm).

We have a student-led retreat, Koinonia, every semester and also offer other events throughout the semester like hiking trips, men's and women's events, and pro-life events. We also have small group Bible studies led by students, as well as by our FOCUS missionaries. FOCUS is a recent addition to our Newman Center, but these young adults offer Bibles studies, discipleship and a witness of living the faith!

Whether you are a prospective or current student feel free to visit us at 501 S. Main St. in Normal or check us out online on our website, Instagram, or Facebook. If you plan to visit us in the Summer, please check our website first, our hours and mass times change in the Summer months!

If you have any questions, please reach out to our Campus Minister, Emily Stanislawski.
