A message from Mission, Ministry & Service
This liberal arts Catholic College was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1924 The founding values of Mercy, Service, Justice and Hospitality is at the core of the mission. Liturgy is held Sunday evenings at 5pm. It has an active Ministry staff and student leadership team of 40 students other activities involve, service trips, international trips, social justice programs, spiritual and religious programs, and retreats. There is a per diem chaplain, Coordinator of Service Learning and Community Service, an Assistant Director and a Director. The programs are student led by our 40 students leaders.
We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive community, through prayer, reflection and helping students grow in the faith life. We empower students to be leaders on campus and in the community and teach our students to be good advocates for social justice causes, all while teaching them be of service to others, with special emphasis on the marginalized in society. We strive to live out the Mission of the University through our charisms of Mercy, Service, Justice and Hospitality.
