A message from Catholic Scots Campus Ministry
We are Catholic, and proud of our faith. We follow Jesus Christ. Our spiritual lives are built on the Holy Scriptures, the Sacraments, and the lived wisdom that the Church has to offer from its two-thousand-year history.
We welcome everyone. Anyone seeking to know more about the Catholic faith will find themselves-- a friend walking among friends.
We are a community of college students trying to understand and appreciate the life that God gave us.
We are also preparing to identify the mission that God has given us as we seek to grow in holiness and acknowledge our call to a vocation in Christ.
Catholic Scots Mission Statement:
Inviting students at PennWest Edinboro University into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. We strive to provide human, spiritual, and intellectual formation in order to help students become lifelong Catholics, engaged in the life of the Church, and equipped to evangelize others.
A Recognized Student Group:
The Catholic Scots is a recognized student organization of PennWest Edinboro University.
In Relation to our Universal, Diocesan, and local Church:
We are supported by the efforts of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Erie and more immediately as a ministry of our local parish, Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. The pastor of OLOL parish is also the duly assigned Catholic Chaplain for PennWest Edinboro University and the Catholic Scots. Students, faculty and staff are warmly welcomed to join for worship and prayer at the parish Church, located at 128 Sunset Drive, Edinboro PA.
