A message from Newman Catholic Center
Welcome to the Newman Catholic Center here at Queensborough Community College. The Newman Center is named after Cardinal Newman who did much to promote the Catholic faith on college campuses. The Newman Club is about promoting an appreciation of the Catholic Faith through social, spiritual, and service activities. We are open to people of all faiths. Meetings and activities are usually Wednesdays at 12 Noon but can occur at other times. We have Mass every Tuesday at 12 noon and on Holydays. Confessions are available by appointment. Bible Study occurs several times throughout the year. Classes are available for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Among our many service projects, we make sandwiches for the homeless and visit soup kitchens. We have several parties during the year.
The Newman Center is a private house located opposite the back of the Humanities Building, next to the Jewish Center on Cloverdale Blvd.
