We exist to provide all SHSU students the opportunity to:

 

Belong to a community of faith that empowers and supports growth as disciples of Christ.

Believe by exploring and discovering Jesus Christ’s abiding love and presence.

 

Become a fully formed and lifelong disciple of Christ.

Since 1986, the SHSU Catholic Student Center (CSC) has been part of The Office of Young Adult & Campus Ministry for the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, which seeks to bring a Catholic presence to the colleges and universities located within the archdiocese. We seek to create environments where Catholic students can find community, encounter Christ in prayer and the sacraments, and be formed as disciples of Jesus. We also seek to evangelize the academic community and invite others into the joy, fulfillment, and truth of living the Gospel.
