A message from Launch Catholic Campus Ministry

College asks you who you are before you've had time to find out. Launch is a place to start looking and to get to know the One who already knows.

Maybe you grew up going to Mass and now nobody's making you. Maybe you've never gone and you're curious. Either way, there's a version of these next four years where faith quietly disappears from your life, and you don't decide that so much as drift into it.

Jesus knows your name. He knows what you've done. He wants you anyway. That's not a slogan we put on a flyer, it's the reason this ministry exists, and it's what we're actually here to help you find, week after week, in Scripture, in prayer, in the Eucharist, and in friendships that hold up.

That's the whole point of Launch: to encounter Jesus, week after week, in Scripture, in prayer, in the Eucharist, and in the friendships that come out of it.

We're the Catholic campus ministry for students at the University of Michigan–Flint, Kettering University, and Mott Community College. If you're a college-aged young adult anywhere in the Flint area, you belong here too, whether or not you're enrolled at one of those three schools.

We're Catholic, and we talk about Catholic things: Scripture, prayer, the sacraments, and the questions people actually wrestle with at 1 AM. You don't have to be Catholic to come. Some of our best nights have started with an honest question from someone who was curious, skeptical, or just there because a friend dragged them along. Whatever you believe or don't, bring it. We'd rather have a real conversation than a comfortable one.

Here's where to find us:

Tuesday nights, 6:30–8:30 PM at St. Matthew's Undercroft. This is our main gathering. Teaching, discussion, and prayer, with time afterward to stick around, eat, and actually get to know people.

College Adoration Nights, Wednesdays 7–8 PM at St. John Vianney. An hour in the presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, followed by ice cream. Come as you are. No experience necessary.

Everything else. We have a GroupMe where we post it all: pickup basketball, movie nights, game nights, spontaneous hangouts, and whatever else comes up during the week. It's the fastest way to know what's going on and the easiest way to get plugged in.

If you're new, just show up. Sit wherever you want. Ask anything. You won't be put on the spot, and you won't be a stranger for long.
