A message from St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Newman Center
We are so excited that you’ve made the choice to come to WIU! Whether you are brand new or in your last semester, it is never too late to check out the Newman community. The staff and students at St. Francis of Assisi Newman Center are here for you during your college career. Maybe you are a freshman just starting out, or a Senior who has just never found the community you were searching for and need a home away from home to call your own. Let the Newman Center be that home for you! Here at Newman, we strive to promote community, faith and service. We want to see you succeed and grow throughout your college experience, and we are here to support you every step of the way.
There are so many ministries and ways to get plugged in with Newman including choir, liturgical ministry, small groups, Bible study, adoration, and a variety of other activities. Maybe you are searching for something in your life and you would like to check out our Faith Group, which will allow you to investigate the Catholic faith and explore Church teachings. Newman is a place where people will take your life and your questions seriously. We make a constant effort to be available and offer students a place for community, growth in faith, and service. No matter what your gift or personality, there is room for you at the St. Newman Center.
We really look forward to the chance to meet you. A member of staff will always be available to meet up and answer your questions so stop by anytime!
